Welcome to the latest edition of our quarterly newsletter, NewsByte.
I am pleased to report that by the end of March 2014 High Performance Computing (HPC) Wales had achieved over 80 collaborative projects with businesses and academics across Wales from a variety of sectors including: engineering, health, creative industries, energy and environment, finance and ICT.
We’ve experienced a growth in the size of our HPC user community and have an increasing pipeline of businesses and academics that are interested in accessing the technology, training and support on offer. To date, over 1,200 individuals have either participated in a project or received training from HPC Wales.
We are looking forward to launching new technology housed at the Bridge Innovation Centre on the 23rd May in Pembrokeshire and will be bringing our new Big Data solution to market in June.
HPC Wales will be participating in a variety of events and exhibitions over the forthcoming ‘Wales Festival of Innovation’ and we hope to see you at one of these if not before!
Professor Sian Hope, Chief Executive Officer, HPC Wales
